BBC weatherman Tomasz Schafernaker causes a storm after making an obscene gesture with his middle finger live on air.
Taking offence to suggestions his weather forecast would be less than accurate Mr Schafernaker was caught briefly giving the male newsreader Simon McCoy the rude middle finger gesture. Mr Schafernaker attempted to cover the incident by scratching his chin.
The newsreaders quickly dismissed the "mistake" and moved on to another segment.
