THE finals hopes of the Altona Gators appear in tatters in the Big V Basketball's division one after a disappointing 106-83 loss to the Whittlesea Pacers at the Mill Park Basketball Stadium on Saturday night.
Star forward James Guljas played a lone hand with 26 points.
The Gators had been edged out, 75-79, by then-undefeated ladder leader, the Sunbury Jets, at The Swamp at the Altona Sports Centre the previous Saturday night before going down to the Bulleen Boomers, 75-84, at The Swamp on the Sunday.
Coach Carey Paps and his players have celebrated just three wins in 12 games.
The Gators host the Geelong Cats at The Swamp this Sunday; tip-off at 3pm.
