OBLITERATED. That's the word Williamstown Wolves coach David Simpson used to describe his team's 22-0 semi-final loss to Werribee on Sunday.
The blow has knocked them out of the Baseball Victoria division 2 finals series.
The two sides were evenly matched leading into Sunday's decider with Werribee recording a 3-1 win in game one and Williamstown managing a 4-2 victory in game two.

But Werribee showed why it had won all but one match throughout the home-and-away season by dominating the Wolves, scoring four home runs and a grand slam from star batter Mike Baillargeon.
The Wolves struggled to compete with Werribee in all facets of the game. Simpson said his opponents "thoroughly deserved" to make it through to the grand final.
"We did everything right to prepare for Sunday, including going down to the beach on Saturday to do a recovery session. We were really confident going into the match.
"But we made a lot of simple errors and they just out-hit us in the end. They showed their class and proved they deserve to be where they are."
Despite the loss, Simpson said his team had had a good season.
"We ran out of legs in the end but I thought everybody played their part and all in all it was a great season for our club. Hopefully, the boys will bottle up the feeling of losing in the semis and use it as motivation next year."
As for his future with the club?
"I've already started looking at areas in which we can improve if they still want me to be coach."
