BUDDING students can now gain qualification "off the back of a truck" with Victoria University's career counselling service going mobile.
VU will use a converted 10-metre-long truck as part of its Community Gateways outreach service.
The gateway service was launched last week after a six-month pilot program in neighbourhood houses, libraries, youth centres and shopping malls.
The service takes career and course counselling to the community.
Counsellors offer free study and employment advice. People interested in training or further education can get information about courses offered by VU and also by other universities or trainers.
The truck is a classroom-like set-up with laptop computers and interactive whiteboards.
