Two critical after Williamstown house fire

A FIRE which partly destroyed a house in Williamstown overnight has left two occupants suffering serious injuries.

The blaze, which started in the front room of a Power Street property, happened shortly after 5pm yesterday.

Two men aged 33 and 37 suffered major burns and were transported to the Alfred Hospital with life threatening injuries.

A 65-year-old woman suffered smoke inhalation.

Police, fire fighters and members of the arson squad are investigating the cause.
