Teens think the world of Braybrook

26 Aug, 2009 09:24 AM
BRAYBROOK teenagers will be busting myths about their suburb by presenting a live performance.

They are calling on more budding dancers to join the crew.

Western Edge Youth Arts, a not-for-profit youth arts organisation, is holding free dance, drama and rap workshops for teenagers.

They will work with professional MCs, dancers and a director to produce 3019 - On the radar, a live performance at the community festival, Braybrook's Big Day Out, on November 29.

Performance co-ordinator David Nguyen says any teenagers who are proud of the suburb can

join the workshops and hopefully be part of the performance, named after Braybrook's postcode.

The workshops are held from 4-6pm every Friday at the Braybrook Community Centre.

Cr Sel Sanli said the festival celebrated youth arts and the region's cultural diversity.
