WILLIAMSTOWN Festival organisers were blessed when perfect weather ensured a healthy crowd last weekend.
Clear blue skies on Saturday and Sunday gave the visitors many activities and displays to enjoy at Commonwealth Reserve.
Celebrating its 33rd year, the festival had roaming performers, face painters, food and merchandise stalls, a parade, carnival rides, heritage tours and a variety of community activities.
The Point Gellibrand Parks Association, Rotary Club of Point Gellibrand and historian Cliff Gibson got into the spirit of the day by holding a video display of the Timeball Tower restoration.
A model of the tower was on display, and people enjoyed a sausage sizzle in recognition of those who contributed to the restoration work.
Rotary Club of Point Gellibrand member Ross Magor said the aim of the ceremony was to honour the achievements of those involved in the project.
He said the club wanted to recognise the contribution made by Rotarian Graham Beyer, who started the project but died last year before its completion.
