Sport free-for-all

LIKE books, footballs will soon be available for borrowing in Braybrook. Maribyrnong Council has set up a free Braybrook Sports Equipment Library, to make sport more accessible to the community. Stony Creek Ward councillor Sel Sanli says the library will supply equipment for sports, including basketball, netball, football, tennis and soccer. "It's devastating so many families have been forced to drop sport from their budget during these difficult financial times. We hope this free equipment library will help those who are missing out to get active."

The library will operate out of the Braybrook Community Centre in Churchill Avenue and be run by a team of young volunteers.
