ASK any regular Footscray diner what their favourite restaurant is and chances are you won't get a straight answer. The choices are too many and varied.
For the second year, and as part of the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival, food lovers can try all the favourites in one swoop during the Rickshaw Run.
Footscray Traders Association president Grant Miles imported and assembled 20 rickshaws for last year's event, which was also the first time the state's premier food event had ventured into Footscray.
This year's run includes a tour through Little Saigon market and a chance for people to learn from the pros how to make rice paper rolls.
It all begins with freshly shucked oysters before your rickshaw is pulled through the culinary sights and sounds of Footscray on a five-course flying dinner. Last year's event brought 300 people to Footscray; this year it will be bigger with 450 foodies taking the trip. The Rickshaw Run is from March 2-18.
