TO recognise the dedication and hard work of its members and honour its finest, the Royal District Nursing Service (RDNS) has launched an award.
'Say thank you' offers residents an opportunity to acknowledge nurses who have made a positive impact on their lives.
RDNS chief executive officer Dan Romanis said his organisation's nurses provided more than 62,000 visits to about 1200 people in Hobsons Bay each year.
"I hope the award is strongly supported by clients, their families and carers," Mr Romanis said.
"Every week we receive many letters from clients, their family and friends who express gratitude for the wonderful work done by our nurses.
"Clients are also invited to express why they believe a particular nurse should win this award. Nominations are open to anyone who has received nursing care from the service between January 1 and June 30 this year.
