Nippers on board for finale

25 Mar, 2009 10:45 AM
THE Altona Nippers will be out in force at Altona beach to farewell the surf lifesaving season at a carnival this weekend.

On Saturday, competitions will be held in the beach sprint, flag race, board, swim and wade events and iron race.

Get along and have some fun while witnessing up-and-comers and seasoned performers. Melissa Jacobson, 'Nipper' co-ordinator at Altona Life Saving Club, said they had had a very successful season and were well represented in several carnivals around Melbourne's baysides.

The Nipper season runs from November to the end of March and patrol season runs from November to April.
