New equipment planned for playground

27 May, 2009 11:13 AM
LOGAN Reserve is set to have a new look, thanks to the efforts of residents who sought help from Hobsons Bay Council.

A petition with 1141 signatures requesting the reserve be upgraded was tabled at a recent council meeting.

The council agreed to consult the Altona Traders Association about the type of play equipment to be installed at the reserve playground. A final decision will be made when the new design is approved.

The project could be incorporated into the 2009/2010 capital works budget which includes $410,000 for the playground upgrade program.

Adventure Playgrounds in Somerton has prepared plans for the proposed playground equipment which will be submitted to the council for approval.
