HOBSONS Bay Council is offering residents the opportunity to take part in a series of learning programs and activities at the Altona Meadows library and learning centre this autumn.
Seabrook Ward councillor John Hogg said the program promoted the benefits of life-long learning.
"Life-long learning is not just about traditional school subjects such as maths and English, it can also be for personal development, cultural enrichment, intellectual or creative stimulation and enjoyment."
Classes and workshops cover a range of topics such as using computers, cooking, creative writing, health and wellbeing and arts and crafts.
"You are never too old to learn something new and this is a great opportunity to try something different and develop your skills" Cr Hogg said.
The facilities of the learning centre are also available for community and commercial groups to use for training opportunities.
