Message in the bag

VERNON Street businesses in South Kingsville have a good idea in the bag to promote their shopping strip.

They were among a group of Hobsons Bay traders given a $2000 grant, courtesy of the traders market fund, for promotional purposes.

Vernon Street

traders spokesman James Wakeling said calico bags

would be provided to customers for free as part of a campaign promoting their precinct. "One side of the calico bag is emblazoned with 'I Love Vernon Street' and on the opposite side are descriptions of the various businesses in our strip."
