Help sought to find missing Maribyrnong man

07 Feb, 2012 10:04 AM
HOMICIDE detectives are appealing for public help to find a 23-year-old Maribyrnong man missing since October last year.

Investigators believe Yengo Faugere left his Macedon Street home sometime during the night on October 19 but they have been unable to pinpoint his movements since.

Formerly from New South Wales, Mr Faugere moved to Melbourne in mid-2011 but remained in regular contact with family members until the time of his disappearance.

When he failed to contact them for several weeks, concerned family members reported him missing in NSW.

Mr Faugere is believed to have told friends that he was concerned for his safety and has not recently accessed his bank account.

Investigators are treating his disappearance as suspicious and would like to hear from anyone who may have information about his movements or whereabouts.

He is described as being Indian or sub-continental in appearance and 173 centimetres tall, with a slim build.

He wears a distinctive lobe stretching-style earring in his left ear.

Information to Crime Stoppers, 1800333000 or visit their website here.
