Please tell us more wonderful stories such as those in your Good News Edition. Why not one every week? It's a great way for the paper to increase its fostering of the community spirit. It was lovely to reflect on Stella Hayes' 1920s English memories of Christmas, to re-capture the magic & mystery with her. You have to slow down to listen & feel, but "the angels bending low with harps of gold" sensation is still available to us, often in the beauty & perennial regeneration of Nature. Altona to Oxford & Diwali Glow gave new meaning to the phrase "Bright Lights Big City". It's too easy to miss out on the inspirational stories all around us, as day-to-day reality can be a hard slog sometimes. And it's so heartening to have it confirmed life isn't just about economic rationalism & a "dog eat dog" mentality. Speaking of which, I salute the unsung service our pets give us with their unconditional love & amusing antics. Kind regards Debra Vaughan
