RESIDENTS will get their chance to tell politicians what they think of Victoria's transport system ahead of this year's state election.
Metropolitan Transport Forum is organising town hall community forums, including one in Maribyrnong.
MTF chairwoman Jackie Fristacky said the forum would get politicians and residents in the same room to talk about public transport.
"The nights will provide the opportunity for the key parties to tap into the demand for public transport and what is needed. It will also give them a chance to present solutions to some of the current problems."
Labor MP Marsha Thomson, Greens MLC Colleen Hartland and Liberal MP Bernie Finn have agreed to attend.
A recent survey by the MTF found Maribyrnong residents want safer, more frequent trains, better facilities, maintenance of stations and upgraded bus networks.
The forum, supported by Fairfax, will be at Maribyrnong council offices on September 6, from 7-8.15pm.
