Arrest over knife servo robberies

25 Nov, 2009 10:16 AM
A DEER Park woman was arrested and charged last night following a series of armed robberies across the western suburbs.

Footscray Embona detectives say the woman, who allegedly threatened service station attendants with a large kitchen knife, was responsible for four armed robberies which occurred between November 21 and 24.

The latest was at the Caltex Service Station on the Western Highway, Burnside at 12.15am on Tuesday.

Cara Noonan, 27 has been remanded in custody, and charged with four counts of armed robbery.

Yesterday police released CCTV footage, as they hunted the woman.

Noonan will face the Melbourne Magistrates Court today.
